BMAD Motorbike Festival (29 Apr 2016 – 1 May 2016)
Started in 2002 by a group of bikers, this Festival raises money for various charities in the region. Held on Paignton Green, with many activities and events for those who may be interested in motorbikes; although it’s not a requirement to take part in the music festival or to watch the amazing stunts, it’s a great festival for all the family. There are plenty of refreshments to be enjoyed from the beer tent and many stalls.
Paignton Sailing Club Spring Regatta (7 & 8 May 2016)
Now known as the Paignton Open for Single Handed Dinghies – or POSH event, there are three races programmed for each day during the two-day regatta. The hosts expect around 70 boats to be taking part in this thrilling sporting event.
Plymbridge Woods, Park Run (Sat 7 May, Sat 14 May, Sat 21 May, Sat 28 May)
No booking is required to take part in this weekly 5 km run, which starts at 9 am each Saturday throughout May. It is a National Trust event, beginning at the Plymbridge Car Park.
Exmouth – Jurassic Paddle (Sunday 1 May 2016 to Saturday 18 Jun 2016)
What fantastic fun to experience this 3-hour paddleboard tour around the Jurassic, Exmouth coastline. Organisers, Exmouth Watersports, suggest that booking is essential to guarantee your place.
