We’ve done our spring cleaning and are getting ready for Easter at Bedford Holiday Apartments, looking forward to seeing our regular guests and welcoming new ones. Easter Egg Hunts
There are several Easter Egg Hunts in the area including:
Greenway House – 25 March – 10 April 2016
Once the residence of Agatha Christie, Greenway House is hosting Cadbury’s Easter Egg Hunts over the holiday in which all the family can participate. For those interested in horticulture it’s a great place to explore the spring gardens and marvel at the work of the garden team there.
Easter events will be taking place at Greenway House between 10:30 am and 4 pm each day. For more information and directions visit the National Trust website.
Overbeck’s Gardens and Museum, Salcombe 25 – 28 March 2016
Another National Trust Easter event, there are not only Easter Egg Hunts over the Bank Holiday Weekend but quizzes to help you find the Cadbury’s chocolate eggs. Children will love the Cadbury’s Easter Bunny who will be there to help them explore.
Events over the 3 day period will begin at 11:00 am and finish at 16:30pm. Entrance fee is £3 for each child and there is no need to book in advance. Just turn up at Overbeck’s and you will be welcome. For more details call 01548 842893 or visit the National Trust website
Woodlands Theme Park, near Dartmouth 25 March – 10 April 2016
A day out at Woodlands, the largest theme park in the UK is always exciting but particularly so at Easter. This year, in addition to the normal Easter Egg hunts, there is a full packed event programme for all the family to enjoy. Pennywell Farm, Buckfastleigh near Totnes – 25, 26 and 27 March 2016
A working and educational farm, Pennywell is a firm favourite for visitors and this Easter will be no exception. As well as Easter Egg hunts there are some cute new arrivals at the farm that you will only be able to meet if you go there. Included in the Easter festivities will be a falconry display and a chance for visitors to learn more about the behaviour of ponies. Vintage Train Journey – 25 to 28 March 2016
Take a trip from Totnes to Buckfastleigh on the Easter grotto train the first of which will be leaving at 11:30am and participate in the Easter Egg hunt at Buckfastleigh. Guaranteed fun for all the family! Check out the South Devon Railway itinerary for more detaisl.
