Cornish Seal Sanctuary – Gweek
A fantastic day out for animal lovers as this is the only working seal hospital in Cornwall. You are able to meet the seals and other animals, and experience feeding time too. If you book tickets online via the website, you will currently receive a 30% discount.
Occombe Farm – Preston Down Road, Paignton
This working, organic farm offers many activities for children with a playground, themed nature trails and farm animals to interact with. Weather permitting you can participate in the 2km nature trail and various displays. There is a Visitors’ Centre and a Café for that welcome coffee throughout the day for the adults.
Battlefield Live – Churston, Brixham
A custom built 3-acre combat play arena using military grade infra-red gaming type guns, which provides demanding game maps and gaming type combat. This activity is open all year round but bookings are required outside of the summer season.
Torquay’s Dinosaur World – Victoria Parade, Torquay
Bringing pre-historic dinosaurs to life, learning about fossils and the life of a dinosaur you can and take part in the family quiz at the end of your tour. Winter season opening days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. However, we suggest you contact them to confirm availability before you start your journey.
Babbacombe Model Village – Hampton Avenue, Babbacombe
You will feel like a giant as you walk around the 4 acres of grounds, exploring the model villages, scenery, people and vehicles. Showcased with sound and animation, you can search for hidden characters here. A trip to Babbacombe Model Village is guaranteed to capture the imagination of all the family during an outing that will take around 3 hours to cover it all.
